Depart Wed afternoon 11.13 and arrived Thur 11.14 morning after a red eye flight into de Gaulle. And.....more travel! After a 6 hour flight, a 4 hour TGV train into Montpellier as Beziers was washed out due to a flood. On Friday, we slept in, shopped in Bedarieux, and a hike to the windmill via the 'mule trail', and later a drive to the Co-op and the cave for wines. Pizza at Sergios, France's greatest pizza

Saturday 11.16 We drove to Pezenas for a market day, then drove to Sete and walked around the nature preserve, Bois Des Aresquiers, and a had a mussels (late) lunch in Sete.

Monday 11.18 Left very early for a drive up to Corniche de Cervanne via Cirque de Navacelles. Bought a Baguette lunch in Florac and had a picnic on an overlook, and then visited Chateau de Brissac. Homemade Cassoulet for dinner!

Tuesday 11.19 Early walk to the train station in Faugeres, and then Lunch at Château St Pierre de Serjac. Later, we did some afternoon wine shopping, and stumbled into Chateau Des Adouzes by meeting the father of the wine maker walking in the village. It's one of our all time favorite wineries! Later, a drive in the Orb valley, some Afflingem beer at Hotel Bellevue in Lamalou Les Bains, and the infamous Pizza truck for dinner!

Wed 11.20 Drove to Gouffre De L'Oeil Doix to hike to the sunken lake and hiked up to it. Then, off to Saint Pierre Sur Mer to Giussen via the Bleux route around the Barges and Peyrmac de Mer. Sandwich! Drove to Port Nouvelle, tried to get to I'lle St. Lucie, no go, but walked on the beach. Off to Sijean and the African Reserve

Thur 11.21 Lazy, rainy morning. We helped Janes dad pick up wine at Serabande and then off to Fontfroide Abbey in Narbonne for a visit. Cleaned, packed, and another pizza at Sergio's
