The 'Lunch Rides' 2015

1) - First ride of the year was into New Hampshire for some brisket at Goody Coles Smokehouse. Left early, 430am for me, and 40 Degrees out, and caught the sunrise before we left. Terry & Shawn joined me for a 485 mile ride down Route 1 into NH, and then over to Goody's. Route 202 home, about 14 hours on the bike, not a bad first ride of the season. PICS HERE

2) - Laconia always counts as a Lunch Ride!

3) - Solo to Smoking Good in Bethel. Rt 2 west to Farmington, then up Rt 24 to Rangeley Lakes and down to Bethel, then Rt 2 home...about 438 miles. PICS HERE

4) - Solo again to Four Points BBQ in Winterport after riding up Rt 1 to Calais, and then down the Airline Road (Rt 9) for lunch. 326 miles on a nice sunny day. PICS HERE

5) - Terry and I got up early on a frosty July day (5am departure and 51 degrees!) for a ride west to Bethel and then Rt 26 into Portland for lunch at Salvage BBQ We took Rt 1 home, about 415 miles. PICS HERE

6) - Solo again for a wet ride up Rt 201 to Jackman. It started raining before Jackman, and kept on raining till Corinth. For the record, my rain gear works quite well!. After Jackman, I rode down Rt 15 into Greenville and Monson, looking for lunch at Spring Creek. Alas, they had decided to open late, so I kept going into Bangor and dined at Moe's Original BBQ. Sun came out, and the rain gear was discarded, all in prep for a freak thunderstorm at the head of the island, and everything was soaked in a near zero visability end to my ride. About 350 miles on a nice long loop. One of my favorite rides, too bad it was in the rain. PICS HERE

7) Mount Washington - Terry, Chris and I left at 430am for a run up the mountain. Route 2 into Gorham, NH, up the Auto Route, down 16 for lunch at Route 302 Smokehouse, and 302 home. About 485 miles and 15 hours in the saddle. PICS HERE and a VIDEO HERE

8) - Solo for a retry on the wet Jackman ride. About 300 miles in some of the nicest weather you could ask for! Same route as before, just made it to Spring Creek BBQ PICS HERE

9) 4 Points BBQ. Solo this time, Route 9 north to Route 1, north to Topsfield, then down thru Lincoln, over to Millinocket, and Route 11 into Bangor to 4 Points for lunch. About 350 miles. PICS HERE

10) - Smoking Good BBQ for way too much food! A chilly mid 40's out for our departure, and it never really warmed up beyound the lower 60's, so made for a cold day. This time Tony, Shawn, and Terry made it with me. Rt 2 west to Farmington, then up Rt 24 to Rangeley Lakes, thru Andover, and down to Bethel, then Rt 2 home...about 440 miles. PICS HERE
