Igniter and Coil

Igniter and Coil
I chose to use the stock Toyota Ignoter and Coil to fire the engine.
I did not use the optional Bosch ignition module. If you are not using the stock coil and igniter, you are on your own for wiring, sorry.
Note, These wire colors are for the 1991 engine. the wiring harness changed in 1993 and yours may vary. I know for a fact that the All-Trac harness is different.

First, download or print the Igniter Wiring Diagram located in the 'Downloads' section.
Or, click here. Igniter.PDF
This diagram shows how to wire up the E6K.

WIRING NOTE
To wire the E6K to the stock Igniter, locate the wire/plug for the Igniter in the stock harness. You use the white wire (See Diagram) on the Igniter plug and connect that to the Haltech 'Ignition Out' (Light Green wire).

If you choose to splice in the E6K wires to the igniter and want to locate them at the ECU
You can download a ECU PIN OUT Diagram here.
For the Igniter the White wire is PIN IGT.WIRING NOTE

NOTE:
J&S Set up Note
Make sure the Haltech is set for the spark to occur on the Falling Edge.
On the J&S Unit, set Mode Switch #6 ‘UP’. Some of the J&S units V.0 only had five switches, and switch 6 was a jumper.
You need to remove the jumper. Either clip one end or de-solder the jumper from the borad and pull it out.
The J&S ‘GREEN’ wire will go to the Haltech ignition output, (It's the LIGHT GREEN WIRE) and the J&S ‘White’ wire connects to the Igniter (IGT) wire at plug. It's the wire labled 'HALTECH IGNITION OUT' in the diagram.
